One-Eyed Jills is the brainchild of Holly Zimmerman. In 2010, Holly was affected by an as-yet undiagnosed condition that reduced her vision to less than 5% in her right eye.
In order to continue her day-to-day activities, Holly found the use of an eyepatch neccessary, but was frustrated by the lack of options for a fashionable woman. Even more frustrating was the lack of options for eyepatches that would fit under prescription glasses. Thus, she decided to launch “One-Eyed Jills”.
About the name: if you’ve ever played cards, you’re familiar with “one-eyed jacks”; Holly decided to give the girls some equal time, and so the name was created!
